Gogowé
Cybersecurity by day. Neo musician by day and night. Law student for fun.
Gogowé is an afro-fusion artiste who is passionate about taking african-influenced music and dance to the rest of the world. She is influenced by the likes of Fela, Tiwa Savage and Beyonce; and is motivated by the beauty in her Nigerian culture.
She describes herself as a translator of human emotions. And she does this with high-energy and strong, yet sweet and rich vocals. The general theme in her music is authenticity. She believes that everybody has a purpose, which should be pursued unapologetically. That confidence is palpable in her music, even in her slower-paced, more vulnerable songs. That same passion in her music is also evident in her personal life, as she pursues her other dreams, such as law. In her own words, “We are all multifaceted and should not have to choose only one path. We can do everything we feel we have been called to do without the need for permission or external validation.” Her bold and daring nature was fueled by her upbringing. Her father constantly instilled in her that she was born for greatness. A breath of fresh air, Gogowé is definitely here to stay.
